About UsToolsorter.com (est'd. 2007) is an extension of Azgrand Internet Marketing (est'd. 1999), originally based in Mesa, Arizona. The name seemed to fit the location, as even a small business on the web can appear "as grand" as any of the larger companies. Azgrand started out with 18 online stores selling over a million products, all furnished by a third-party. When that company changed their way of doing business, Azgrand was forced to find their own lines of products and establish their own web sites. That taught them a couple of good lessons: (1) never put all your eggs in one basket, and (2) always have multiple streams of income. Early in 2004, Azgrand helped an associate set up a company to import a steel tool board product with lock-on hooks from Sweden. Rather than become a partner, it was more advantageous from a marketing position to become the first distributor for that product. Other distributors were established in Chicago, Salt Lake City, Las Angeles, and Texas, along with the importer serving as a second distributor in the Phoenix area. When local sales did not produce the desired results, Azgrand took the product to the web, and ended up selling more than all of the other distributors combined... before the importer went out of business after the first year. Also in 2004, they acquired a distributorship with Ernst tool organization products to compliment, rather than compete with the tool board product, and built that into the largest full-line stocking distributorship of its kind in the world, until they dropped that line in January of 2008. It has not been economically feasible to run a "warehouse" operation, for many reasons. Since then they have been selling down their inventory of Ernst tool organizers. However, as they can find other suppliers to provide those or similar tool products, and continue to build their offerings from other sources, the business will continue to expand. Azgrand Internet Marketing is a business that, from it's inception, was planned to be run well into the retirement of the owners. However, maintaining a warehouse and all it's duties, plus shipping, was not conducive to future travel plans. Ways of doing business had to change to a more "portable" lifestyle, so that the business could be run from anywhere in the world. To that end, more digital products are being introduced, and with that, a wider market to a worldwide audience. Azgrand
is also involved in many other avenues (including Ebay), and other products
as well, under various web URLs, and even other businesses (the majority of
which will not be disclosed, for business reasons). However,
web sale profits far outweigh auction profits, so their focus is on the web
sites. Azgrand's owners despise the mindless (and many times meaningless) messages kicked out by autoresponders, so to date they haven't started using one. In fact, it is common practice on their sites to not even have an opt-in form. Instead, they offer a couple of suggestions as to how to bookmark their sites to make them easy to find, and then provide quality products with excellent service so that the customer will WANT to come back. The owner's emails have always been personally written. They answer each and every email they receive (within hours). This may have to change as their business grows, but they are going to hang onto this very important factor in their service for as long as they can.
